Born in 1981, she is a painter and art conservator. She graduated in Conservation and Restoration of Paintings and Polychrome Sculpture at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (degree awarded in 2009). She lives and works in Wrocław.
She creates easel paintings on canvas using oil, acrylic, mixed media, and oil pastels on paper. Her themes explore femininity, impulse, corporeality, animality, homelessness, and domestication (both of animals and the human soul). She is fascinated by the human-animal relationship, drawing inspiration from it. The creative process for her is a dialogue: a dialogue with her unconscious mind and dreams, through which the unconscious becomes conscious. It is also a dialogue with musical and literary works and occasionally serves as a response to social and political issues that move her.
For years, she has been involved with Wrocław’s Ekostraż and the Association for Homeless Dogs—Psy u Reni, Basi, i Przyjaciół—supporting their efforts through her art. Because, as she puts it, she “believes in animals” 🙂
Group exhibitions in which she has participated include:
Post-Competition Exhibition of the VI Animalis Painting Triennial 2023 (Second Prize and Special Award of the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice);
Real 8 (2022), Region Gallery, Koszalin;
